Alcohol ink is a fairly new medium which I started using in May, 2016. The colors are very intense and are soluable in alcohol. The ink adheres to any non-porous material, such as tile, glass, and metal. I have been experimenting and expanding my skills as time goes on.
I make art because I breathe. When I paint, I have a sense of excitement about what the alcohol inks will reveal to me that day. Although Alcohol Ink is hard to control and no two works are alike, I find myself coming back to circle themes. Perhaps it is the circle of life for me. I made art every day as a child, and after working as a social worker for 40 years, I retired and make art daily. I even dream of art. The colors are rich and vibrant and remind me that life is full of joy.
